I am delighted to advise we have split the Cornwall and Devon area away from the South Wales, Bristol, Hampshire, Dorset region (Region 1) to make it more geographically manageable for pensioners to attend events.

Ray Tickle has agreed to be the representative for the new region (Region 10) and Ray will hopefully be getting in touch in the near future with news on a get together sometime this year.

I am sure Ray will bring energy and enthusiasm to the role and I am grateful to him for volunteering so that you now have a representative much nearer to you. I think Andrew Crocker is relieved that his region has reduced geographically.

Currently AXA Provincial Pensioners Association are able to subsidise the event so I do hope a number of you will be able to make the get together once Ray has arranged one.

As you are aware AXA withdrew funding to the Pensioner Association last year but we feel we can keep the Association going for a few years longer.

You will be aware from my communication last year that there is no longer an issue of Cascade (the pensioner news booklet) but we do have our own website which you can find at www.myappa.org.
